Southern Mǐn or Mǐn Nán is a dialect group of the Sinitic languages or "dialect" Chinese, spoken in Taiwan and in the southern Chinese province of Fujian, as well as in other areas of China and Southeast Asia to which Chinese from this region emigrated.
The variety of mǐn nán spoken in Taiwan is also called Taiwanese.
