Agarabi Grammar - How to Ask Questions

Hi Agarabi learners! 😊
In today's lesson, we will be learning about how to ask questions in Agarabi. Asking questions is an important part of any language, and it's essential to understand the rules and structure of Agarabi questions in order to communicate effectively.

Basic Structure

The basic structure of a question in Agarabi is quite simple. It follows the same pattern as in English: subject + verb + object. For example:

  • "Do you like Agarabi?"
  • "Where are you going?"

The subject of the sentence is the person or thing that is doing the action, the verb is the action itself, and the object is the thing that the action is being done to.

Question Words

In addition to the basic structure, Agarabi also has a number of question words that can be used to ask more specific questions. These words are:

  • Who - used to ask about people
  • What - used to ask about things
  • When - used to ask about time
  • Where - used to ask about location
  • Why - used to ask about reasons
  • How - used to ask about methods

For example:

  • "Who is your teacher?"
  • "What do you want to learn?"
  • "When did you start learning Agarabi?"
  • "Where do you study Agarabi?"
  • "Why do you want to learn Agarabi?"
  • "How do you say 'hello' in Agarabi?"

Yes/No Questions

Yes/no questions are questions that can be answered with either "yes" or "no". In Agarabi, these questions are formed by using the verb at the beginning of the sentence, followed by the subject. For example:

  • "Do you like Agarabi?"
  • "Can you speak Agarabi?"
  • "Will you be able to understand this lesson?"

Tag Questions

Tag questions are questions that are added to the end of a statement. They are used to confirm or check information. In Agarabi, tag questions are formed by using the verb at the end of the sentence, followed by the subject. For example:

  • "You like Agarabi, don't you?"
  • "You can speak Agarabi, can't you?"
  • "You will be able to understand this lesson, won't you?"

Summary

In summary, asking questions in Agarabi follows the same basic structure as in English: subject + verb + object. In addition, there are a number of question words that can be used to ask more specific questions, and yes/no and tag questions can also be formed.
