Health issues can arise anywhere, anytime. Here are some health issues you may encounter in Oman:

Let's see some examples of these health issues in context:
- Person 1: عندي الم في اذني. (I have an earache.)
- Person 2: عليك بزيارة الطبيب. (You should visit a doctor.)
- Person 1: عندي سعال قوي. (I have a strong cough.)
- Person 2: اشرب ماء دافئ وخذ قسطاً من الراحة. (Drink warm water and take some rest.)
- Person 1: عندي رشح. (I have a runny nose.)
- Person 2: استخدم منديل ورقي لمسح أنفك. (Use a tissue to wipe your nose.)
- Person 1: عندي ارتجاع مريئ. (I have acid reflux.)
- Person 2: تجنب تناول الطعام الدهني والمشروبات الغازية. (Avoid oily food and fizzy drinks.)
- Person 1: عندي حمى. (I have a fever.)
- Person 2: خذ مسكن للحمى وتجنب الإجهاد. (Take a fever reducer and avoid exertion.)

It's always good to know how to ask for medical care while in Oman. Here are some phrases that can come in handy:

| يجب أن أرى الطبيب. | yajib 'an 'ura attabib | I need to see a doctor. |
Let's practice using these phrases in a dialogue:
- Person 1: هل يوجد مستشفى قريب؟ (Is there a hospital nearby?)
- Person 2: نعم، يوجد مستشفى عام في منطقة الكوم. (Yes, there is a public hospital in Al-Khuwair area.)
- Person 1: أين يوجد عيادة؟ (Where is the clinic?)
- Person 2: هناك عيادة في مبنى المركز التجاري. (There is a clinic in the commercial center building.)
- Person 1: أحتاج إلى السعافة. (I need an ambulance.)
- Person 2: إلى أين؟ (To where?)
- Person 1: إلى مستشفى السيب. (To Seeb Hospital.)

Sometimes, we need to purchase medications to relieve our symptoms. Here are some common medications and medical terms in Omani Arabic:

- Person 1: عندما يكون لدي التهاب الحلق، أشعر بألم شديد. (When I have a sore throat, I feel severe pain.)
- Person 2: استخدم أقراص بانادول وابتعد عن الأطعمة الحارة والباردة. (Use Panadol tablets and stay away from hot and cold foods.)
