Cultural Tidbits[edit | edit source]

In Algerian culture, it is often considered rude to express strong disagreement, especially with people you don't know very well. Instead, you may hear people use phrases like "maybe we can agree on" to indicate that they don't want to argue.

In addition, if someone offers you food or drink in Algeria, it is polite to accept it even if you don't want it. This is seen as a sign of hospitality and respect for the host.
