The Mandinka language (Mandi'nka kango), or Manding, is spoken by the Mandinka people of Mali, Senegal, Gambia, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea-Bissau and Chad; it is the main language of The Gambia. He belongs to the Mandinka branch of the Mandé, and is therefore quite close to the Bambara and Maninka or Malinké. The Mandinka language (Mandi'nka kango), or Manding, is spoken by the Mandinka people of Mali, Senegal, Gambia, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea-Bissau and Chad; it is the main language of The Gambia.
