The Isan language, also known as Isan Thai or Northeast Thai, is spoken in the northeast of Thailand, in the Isan region, which gave it its name.
No matter where you are in Thailand, you will always meet people from this region. They have their own dialect (just like the people of the North and South), and you also have to learn the basics of Isan.
