The future tense is formed by removing -ön from the infinitive, then by prefixing o- to the beginning and adding the necessary personal pronoun to the end:

  • Okömobs odelo ‘we shall/will come tomorrow’

To express a future event which had not yet taken place in the past, simply add ö- to the relevant verb:

  • Äsagof, das ökömof ‘She said that she would come’
  • Ävilons, das öremobs toodi ‘They wanted us to buy the car’
