ABOUT OUR TRIP

Who can participate?

SKI INTERNATIONAL is for all who want to spend friendly holidays in the mountains, with an international spirit.

The program is both sporty and friendly. In addition, if you can ski or dream of skiing, you will treat yourself, but you do not need to ski to participate in this event.

There are hiking trails, a heated swimming pool, friendly and casual conversation workshops hosted by Polyglot Club, and festive and warm evenings each night.

50 participants from all over the world are expected to attend in one of the most renowned resorts in the world.

Schedule

- Morning: Skiing or Snowshoeing - Afternoon: skiing or swimming pool - Late afternoon: Conversation workshop (all languages) or dance - Evening: Mix Latino or general music or stroll in town

Conditions of registration

Age Range: All ages (usually one third of the participants is between 20 and 30 years old, one third is between 30 and 45 years old and one third is between 45 and 60 years of age).

Language Conversation Workshops: English, French, Spanish, Italian, German …

Dance: optional Latin dance lessons will be available

Who should attend: singles, couples and friends.

The stay is co-organized with Partir Entre Amis French specialist in convivial travels. Every year, we welcome more than 2000 participants during the stays they organize. PRICES

BASIC FORMULA: 369 € until 31 October (limited to 20 people), then 379 € until 30 November (limited to 20 people), then 389 €.

The price includes :

Ski Resort

You will be located in La Plagne wich is one of the most popular ski resort ("Paradiski" is ranked 4th in the world) with more than 2.5 million visitors each year [*].

La Plagne is located in France, in the famous region of Savoie, near Geneva (Switzerland) and Turin (Italy).

Residence

You will be staying in apartments Maeva (group Pierre et Vacances) located at 1930 meters in altitude, in the center of La Plagne (Bellecôte).

At the foot of the residence, you will find many shops: supermarket, cinema, swimming pool, nightclubs, bars, restaurants, sauna, bakery, ...

All apartments are identical and include 5 beds:

– 2 beds in a room

– 3 beds in the living room

The basic formula SKI LATINO STARS corresponds to an accommodation in an apartment of 5 people to share, and with your bed in the living room with 2 other persons. Many options allow you to benefit from more comfort:

Options / Accommodation

– option « living room 2 people » (instead of 3) = 50 € / pers.

By booking this option, there will only be 2 of you in the lounge which is normally provided for 3 people (so there will be 1 empty bed).

– option « double room » = 70 € / pers.

By booking this option, you will be in a 2 person room (instead of the living room). If you are a couple or 2 friends, book 2 x 70 €.

– « single room » option = 190 € / pers

By booking this option, you will be alone in the room. In your living room you will have 2 or 3 roommates.

– option « 1-person apartment » = 360 € / apartment

By booking this option, you will be alone in your apartment (sleeps 5).

– option « apartment 2 persons » = 260 € / apartment

By booking this option, there will be 2 of you in your apartment (5 beds).

If you are a couple or 2 friends, book this option only once.

Distribution of accommodation

We organize the distribution of apartments by age group. Generally, there is no more than a 10-year gap between younger and older people in the same dwelling.

We make sure that there is mixing (both genders) in the apartments (not in the room and not in the living room). In the registration form, you can tell us that you do not want to mix in your apartment.

If you are a group of friends, you can indicate in the registration form that you wish to be hosted together.

You have the option of not taking a Food Box. You can then shop at the resort’s supermarket (located on the ground floor of your residence) or go to one of the resort’s many restaurants.

During the week, we organize 2 evenings in a restaurant to meet us all together and enjoy specialties from the region of Savoie.

Unique formula at 22 € including: starter, specialties from Savoie (tartiflette, fondue, raclette), dessert and wine.

If you wish to have a meal in the restaurant, we suggest that you meet in the evening at the restaurant « Le Mouflon » located 50 meters from your residence (reserve the first evening from 9 am on behalf of « SKI LATINO »: 0033.479090307) . SKI - SNOWSHOEING

SKI

Meeting point every day at 9.30 am and at 2 pm at the foot of the slopes to ski together. We will organize 6 groups on the 1st day:

1. beginner

2. false beginner

3. intermediate with « La Plagne » Skipass

4. Intermediate with « Paradiski » Skipass

5. advanced with « La Plagne » Skipass

6. Advanced with « Paradiski » Skipass

Possibility of taking lessons with the monitors : half day from 30 € or 5 days course at 150 €.

SNOWSHOEING

From 20 to 25 € the ride of 2.5 hours (Cf ticketing)

Discover breathtaking landscapes in a friendly atmosphere.

Each route is different.

You will be accompanied by a qualified mountain guide. Equipment provided. No physical skills required (if you can climb 3 floors without stopping, it’s good). Groups of up to 14 people.

SKIPASS

On our ticketing, we offer 2 types of Skipass (« 6 days La Plagne » and « 6 days Paradiski »).

If you want different packages, you can buy your package at the station (50 meters from your residence).

Here are some rates:

– Skipass 4 hours « La Plagne » = 43 €

– Skipass 1 day « La Plagne » = 52 €

– Skipass 1 day « Paradiski » = 60 €

The resort can be easily accessed from the airports of Geneva (3 hours, 93 miles / 149 km), Lyon (3 hours, 122 miles / 196 km) and Chambéry (2 hours, 57 miles / 92 km).

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Your holiday in La Plagne

At what time can I check-in and Check-out? Check-in: Sunday at 5pm. Check-in possible from 3pm in the lobby where we will welcome you with coffee and treats.
Check-out: Sunday between 7am and 10am.

Is there a cloakroom? Yes, the tourist office opposite the Plagne Bellecôte bus stop. Warning, it is closed between 12:30pm and 2pm.

I do not know anybody. Is this holiday for me? Yes. Usually, 50% of the participants come alone and 50% come as a couple or with friends.

Where do the participants come from ? From all over the world. Main countries: France, UK, USA, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Latin America, Russia, China...

What things should I bring in my luggage? - For outward racket: hiking shoes - To walk around the ski resort: hiking shoes - For the pool: swimsuit - For dance classes: dance or tennis shoes - For the apartment: bath towels, kitchen towels, and maybe a bathmat. - For check-in: . 1 deposit for ski equipment (100 €) . 1 deposit for the apartment (50 €) . 1 deposit for the pool card (€ 1) . 1 deposit for the lift board (€ 1). - Other: sunscreen, sunglasses, gloves, hat, ski suit or jeans ....

What is the average age of participants? Participants usually are between 30 and 55 years old, but if you're younger or older, welcome. The distribution of accommodation is by age.

If I come with my friends, can I stay with them in the same apartment? Yes. In the registration form you can mention the names of the people you want to say with.

What if I have a specific diet? A supermarket just down the residence will allow you to complete your lunchbox to your needs. It is not possible to subtract your lunchbox out of the price package.

Among the participants, are there as many boys as girls? Yes. We check constantly so that a balance between boys and girls is reached. If unbalanced, we can freeze registration until the parity is restored.

What can you visit on the resort? Bobsleigh Olympic track (JO Albertville 1992), Toboggan track more than 2 km long, Ice Cave located at 3000 meters altitude, many bars and restaurants, snowmobiling, paragliding, pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, many trails of snowshoeing or cross country skiing (free access) cinema, bowling, ping pong, climbing wall, ... La Plagne is one of France's largest resorts!

Is there Wi-Fi? Yes. The residence provides a paying Wi-Fi accessible from the residence's reception. However, the bar Spitting Feathers, just 50 meters from the residence offers FREE Wi-Fi.

What if I already have my ski equipment? Our packages will be "all inclusive". It is therefore not possible to offer you a discount if you already have your equipment.

Is there a safe in the apartments? Is there a hair dryer in the apartment? Safe: Yes. You can put your laptop in the safe, for example. Hairdryer: Yes. It's possible to rent a hair dryer from the residence reception.
