In order to make a question out of a statement, where there is a verb, this is followed by the unstressed interrogative particle -li.
- Kiöpo binon-li pened? ‘Where is the letter?’
- Kömof-li ko flen? ‘Is she coming with a friend?’
- Voboms-li ko flens? ‘Are they working with friends?’
- Visitons-li? ‘Do they visit?’ (both sexes)
Where there is no verb, the -li may be used without one:
- no-li? ‘isn't it?’
- odelo-li? ‘tomorrow?’
