==When to use?==
When use the subjunctive in French?

The subjunctive is used to express actions which are uncertain. It is nearly always found in clauses introduced by qui or que.
The subjunctive is used normally in a subordinate clause (in other words, after the word que or some other conjuctions) where the preceding main clause requires the subjunctive.

If someone (A) is waiting something from another person (B) (or several people) = you have to use the subjonctive.

Now, if the person (B) doesn't agree with the resquest of the person (A) = when he will answer, he will use the subjonctive.

==Examples==
*Je veux '''que''' tu le '''fasses'''= ''I want you to do it.''
*Que je fasse quoi? = What do you want I do?
*Il faut '''que''' nous '''allions''' = ''it is necessary that we go.''

[[File:nationalities-in-french.png|400px]]

Unlike English, when it comes to nationalities, in French, there is a difference whether you're a girl or a boy.

*Example in English: "She is Irish / He is Irish"

*Example in French: "Elle est irlandaise / Il est irlandais"

It is important to make the difference. I've heard people making this mistake (which is totally normal) but we really need to make the difference between a "he" or a "she". You could find yourself in a very embarrassing situation.

So, to help you I'm going to make a list of different nationalities so that you won't ever do this mistake again.

Let's go :

*She/he is American : Elle est américaine/ Il est américain

*English: Elle est anglaise / Il est anglais

*German: Elle est allemande / il est allemand

*Chinese: Elle est chinoise / il est chinois

*Japonese: Elle est japonaise / Il est Japonais

*Spanish: Elle est espagnole / Il est espagnol

*Mexican: Elle est mexicaine / Il est mexicain

*Indian: Elle est indienne / Il est indien

As you can see most of the time you can just add an "e" if you're a girl.

Then, here are some countries / people / language :

Thomdwarf: Creation of this page

In french, there are many different tenses but soon you'll be able to speak in future tense easily!

Instead of learning all different terminations to form the future (especially at the begining) we use another technic.

The following technic is often used by natives.

You have to know the conjugation of the verb "aller" in the present tense.

Je vais (I go)

Tu vas (You go)

Elle / il va (She / he / it goes)

Nous allons (We go)

Vous allez (You go)

Elles / ils vont (They go)

Now you only have to follow this pattern.

Subject + "aller" conjugated in present tense + verb at the infinitiv form

Reminds :

Negation is around the conjugated verb : je ne vais pas manger (I will not eat) / tu ne vas pas boire (You will not drink)

Questions are formed with the same words : Vas-tu aller au cinéma demain? (Will you go to the theater tomorrow?)

Examples :

I'll go to the cinéma // Je vais aller au cinéma

She will not eat this tomato // Elle ne va pas manger cette tomate (and she's right!)

Will we see it too? // Allons-nous le voir aussi?

Don't forget the infinitiv verb because if not your sentence will be in the present tense.

Don't hesitate to add some time markers in your sentence (like : Tomorrow, next day, next month...)

With this form, you don't have to know all the different conjugations to be able to speak in the future tense.

This future form works 95%of the time.
