In this lesson, I will explain to you some of the negation rules in Arabic and their common usage.&lt;br /&gt;

There are many other ways for negation in Arabic, I've just introduced some of them.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
=== ( la'a) لا Negation for verbs in the present tense: ===&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
*This man doesn't work with us. هذا الرجل لا يعمل معنا&lt;br /&gt;
*They don't speak Arabic. هم لا يتكلمون العربية&lt;br /&gt;
*She doesn't know anything about the truth. هي لا تعلم شيئاً عن الحقيقة&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
=== ( Lam) لم Negation for verbs in the past tense: ===&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
*These guys didn't attend the party yesterday. هؤلاء الرجال لم يحضروا الحفلة بالأمس &lt;br /&gt;
*We're sorry, we didn't tell you about that. نحن آسفون أننا لم نخبركم بالأمر:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
*He didn't bring his cellphone with him. هو لم يجلب هاتفه الخلوي معه&lt;br /&gt;
=== ( Lan ) لــن  Negation for verbs in the future tense: ===&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
*The workers won't come tomorrow. لن يأتوا العاملون غدا&lt;br /&gt;
*Smoking will not be allowed during the meeting. لن يسمح بالتدخين خلال اللقاء&lt;br /&gt;
*I won't help you, because I'll be busy tonight. لن أستطيع مساعدتكم، لأني سأكون مشغول هذه الليلة&lt;br /&gt;

===( Laysa/ Layset) ليس، ليست Negation of the nominal sentences:===&lt;br /&gt;
Note : ليس = for masculin / ليست = for feminine &lt;br /&gt;
*She is not the responsible here. هي ليست المسؤولية هنا&lt;br /&gt;
*He is not a teacher, he is a lawyer. هو ليس معلماً، هو محامي&lt;br /&gt;
*This cat is not a female. هذا القط ليس أنثى&lt;/div&gt;</summary>

&lt;br /&gt;
*I = أنا = ana &lt;br /&gt;
*You (masc) = أنت = anta &lt;br /&gt;
*You (fem) = أنت = anti&lt;br /&gt;
*You (dual) = أنتما = antuma&lt;br /&gt;
*You (plural, masc) = أنتم = antum&lt;br /&gt;
*You (plural, fem) = أنتن = antunna&lt;br /&gt;
*We = نحن = nahnu&lt;br /&gt;
*He = هو = howwa&lt;br /&gt;
*She = هي = heyya&lt;br /&gt;
*They (dual) = هما = humma&lt;br /&gt;
*They (plural,masc) = هم = hom&lt;br /&gt;
*They (plural,fem) = هن = hunna&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
In arabic they are frequently dropped except in the  equational (verbless) sentences like:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
*I'm happy = أنا سعيد&lt;br /&gt;
*I'm from َAlgeria = أنا من الجزائر&lt;br /&gt;
*He is from Egypt = هــو من مـِصر&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
