Cautin44: "tu" and "vous"

Let's talk about the use of "tu" and "vous" in French.
The words "tu" and "vous" both mean you. Which word for you is used depends on the person being addressed.

The use of "tu" is for family, friends or among young people. In other cases it can be considered rude to people.
So beware, if you do not know the person, it is best to always use "vous" in French.

==Tu==
*The "tu" in french, is only for the persons that you know very well, a member of family, your friends ,and boy/girlfriend,not more.
*The "vous" is the persons who you don't know,and the first contact.,a the persons high promoted,ranked, your teacher , your boss, your manager for example. So a policeman ,a detective won't say never "hello",alway "good morning!" "bonjour" and not "salue!". Girls,women don't say "salut"(hello) to the first contact,or a person who don't know you. In France, the people dislike the "salut"and the "tu" coming from person who don't know them.Tu vas bien Étienne ? (How do you do, Etienne?)
*Oui, ça va et toi Franck? (Well, and you Franck?)
*Tu connais cette fille? (Do you know that girl?)

*Bonjour Monsieur, vous allez bien ? (Good morning sir, how are you?)
*Très bien Madame, merci ! (Very well, madam, thank you!)
