I try do show my students how they can use this tool in an effective way, but we have a long journey ahead of us.

When it comes to perception, Google Translate can aid you to understand most of a written text. But please, do not count on it to do your production for you. Use it for translation for smaller stanzas or certain words, but please, always be critical. Make a habit of always double-checking if the translation really is correct. Make an effort to learn and understand grammar, it will be your best friend when you try to learn any language. Because grammar itself is a language, and when you speak it, you have a template. You just have to insert the language you wish to learn into the template.

Google Translate is your friend, but you also have to be a friend to yourself!

Tôi đã cố gắng để chỉ cho học sinh cách dùng công cụ dịch một cách hiệu quả nhất, tuy nhiên cô trò vẫn còn cả một chặng đường dài phía trước.

Chỉ nói về vấn đề đọc hiểu thì Google dịch có thể giúp bạn hiểu gần như mọi văn bản. Tuy vậy xin chớ có trông chờ vào nó để dịch ra một bài hoàn thiện. Chỉ dùng nó để dịch các đoạn ngắn, hoặc tra một vài từ, và phải luôn cẩn thận. Hãy tạo thói quen kiểm tra lại xem bài dịch đã thực sự chính xác hay chưa. Và cố gắng học ngữ pháp nữa vì nó thực sự sẽ giúp bạn rất nhiều khi học bất kì một ngôn ngữ nào. Vì bản chất ngữ pháp cũng là một ngôn ngữ, khi bạn học nói một câu bạn đã có một mẫu rồi. Bạn chỉ cần ghép thứ tiếng mình muốn học vào mẫu.

Google Translate là người đồng hành sáng giá, tuy nhiên bạn cũng cần lắng nghe chính mình nữa!

  • 4. Do not translate those words
    Words or phrases surrounded by a [notranslate] tag should not be translated.
    Example:
    English: You can say: "[notranslate]Hej![/notranslate]".
    French: Vous pouvez dire : "[notranslate]Hej![/notranslate]".

  • 5. Formal and informal Translations
    Please submit the formal expression of the item. Avoid slang and impolite expressions.
