V škole sa učíme o Janíčkovi a Marienke a o tom, čo radi čítajú, na čo sa radi dívajú a čo si radi dávajú na sendvič. Je mi jedno či si Janíčko na sendvič dáva rád paradajky, alebo či Marienka minule volala so svojimi priateľmi a malo by to byť jedno aj tebe! Čítanie o imaginárnych postavách a ich predškolských aktivitách ti pri učení sa jazyka vôbec nepomôže. Naopak, by si sa mal vydať po vzrušujúcej ceste, ktorá ti umožní uvažovať úplne iným spôsobom. Na svete je mnoho kníh, ktoré učia prostredníctvom rozmanitých príbehov Janíčka, Marienky a ich priateľov, no učia aj bezvýznamnú gramatiku a zbytočnú slovnú zásobu, ktorá bude každému na nič.

V škole, nás učí o Barneyho a Sally a čo sa im páči čítať, pozerať sa a dať na svoje sendviče. Je mi jedno, či Barney rád paradajka na jeho sendvič a či alebo nie Sally volal jej priatelia na druhý deň, a ani by ste mali!
