Si votre objectif est de parler et de comprendre une langue avec aisance, alors, vivre dans le pays n'est pas nécessaire. Avant Internet je n'avais pas besoin de voyager, mais de nos jours, apprendre à la maison est encore moins un problème. Avec Internet, nous pouvons littéralement nous entourer de n'importe quelle langue. Vous pouvez parler sur Skype, regarder des films ou des vidéos YouTube ou l'écouter à la radio. Il ne manque pas d'expériences intéressantes et stimulantes que nous pouvons avoir via le web.

Si l'objectif principal est de parler comme un natif cependant, Internet ne suffit pas. Vous avez besoin d'un réel contact face-à-face avec des locuteurs natifs ET de l'environnement naturel où la langue est parlée. Laissez-moi vous expliquer pourquoi.
