In France, a part of last generation (borned in the 80’s) was raised with the “Club Dorothée”, “Récré A2”, or “La 5” and some other TV shows which contributed a lot to develop the japanese contemporary popular culture. That’s why a lot of people try to learn Japanese (or Korean as well).

Sometimes, you have no choice. It is a vital question. When you arrive in a country where nobody speak your mother tongue and you absolutely have to communicate with local people, you do everything to learn quickly the local language.
