ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT PROCESS
Notice is given in terms of Regulation 56 of the regulations published in Government Notice No. R.385 under Section 24 of the National Environmental Management Act of 1998 (Act No. 107 of 1998) of intent to submit Environmental Basic Assessment Reports to the Free State Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (FS DETEA) for the upgrade of existing and establishment of new cemetery sites within the Matjhabeng Local Municipality area, Free State Province.
DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED ACTIVITIES:
1. The upgrading and expansion of the existing Kutlwanong cemetery and associated infrastructure on a Portion of Farm Kameeldoorns 402, Kutlwanong Township. DETEA Ref No. EMB/10, 15, 17, 1(K) 10/61
2. The upgrading and expansion of the existing Meloding cemetery and associated infrastructure on a Portion of Farm Stilte 138, Meloding Township - Virginia. DETEA Ref No. EMB/10, 15, 17, 1(K) 10/63
3. The upgrading of the existing and establishment of a new cemetery and associated infrastructure on a Portion of Farm Uitsig 73, Phomolong Township - Hennenman. DETEA Ref No. EMB/10, 15, 17, 1(K) 10/62
