Sometimes the "basic search" is not enough to find your ideal language exchange partner. You will need to find members using more refined criteria.

The "Advanced Search" can be done according to the following criteria:

- [a href="/help/profile/chat-softwares"]Chat softwares (ICQ, MSN, Yahoo, Skype, AIM, Gtalk)[/a]: Only users who filled their username on the software will be displayed. Beware, you must be a VIP member to be able to contact members via chat software.
- [a href="/help/sign-up/gender"]Gender[/a]: Choose male or female.
- [a href="/help/sign-up/age"]Age[/a]: Only members within the age range will be displayed;
- [a href="/help/profile/can-host"] Can host? (Yes / No)[/a]: Only users who accept to host will be displayed;
- [a href="/help/profile/my-pictures"]With Photo (s)? (Yes / No)[/a]: Only members with a photo on their profile will be displayed;

- Sort by. Sorting of results can be performed by one of the following criteria:
- Date of the last connection (Last connected members appear first);
- Registration Date (Last registered members appear first);
- VIP members (VIP members appear first);
- Number of Visits (members who have visited the site many times appear first);
- Profile Update (members who recently updated their profile appear first);
- Country (members are sorted by country in alphabetical order);
- Region (members will be sorted according to the region in alphabetical order);
- City (members are sorted by city in alphabetical order);

- [a href="/help/sign-up/age"]Edad[/a]: Sólo los miembros entre el rango de edad que determines, serán mostrados;
- [a href="/help/profile/can-host"]¿Puede hospedar? (Sí / No)[/a]: Sólo usuarios que acepten hospedar serán mostrados;
- [a href="/help/profile/my-pictures"]¿Con foto(s)? (Sí / No)[/a]: Sólo miembros con foto de perfil serán mostrados;

- Ordenar por. La clasificación de los resultados puede ser de acuerdo a alguno de los siguientes criterios:
- Última fecha de conexión (Los miembros que se conectaron hace poco aparecen primero);
- Día de registro (Los miembros que acaban de registrarse aparecen primero);
- Miembros VIP (Los miembros VIP aparecen primero);
- Numero de Visitas (Los miembros que han sido visitados muchas veces en el sitio, aparecen primero);
- Actualización de Perfil (los miembros que últimamente han actualizado su perfil aparecen primero);
- País (Los miembros son organizados por países en orden alfabético);
- Región (Los miembros serán organizados de acuerdo a la región en orden alfabético);
- Ciudad (Los miembros son clasificados por ciudad en orden alfabético);

Guidelines for Translations

  • 1. Format
    Please follow the same format that is used in the English version, including punctuation and capitalization.

  • 2. Variables
    (Variables can be numbers, names, discussions or other contents of PolyglotClub.com)
    Variables within the brackets are in red, like {1} {2}. Please do not translate the variables.
    Example:
    English: {1} You have received {2} new messages
    French: {1} Vous avez reçu {2} nouveaux messages

  • 3. Links
    Terms that will become HTML links on PolyglotClub.com webpages are surrounded by brackets and colored red, like: this is [link1]PolyglotClub.com[/link1]. You should translate the words colored black, because they will actually be displayed. Please do not translate HTML links that appear in red.
    Example:
    English: Go to the [link1]main page[/link1].
    French: Aller sur la [link1]page principale[/link1].

  • 4. Do not translate those words
    Words or phrases surrounded by a [notranslate] tag should not be translated.
    Example:
    English: You can say: "[notranslate]Hej![/notranslate]".
    French: Vous pouvez dire : "[notranslate]Hej![/notranslate]".

  • 5. Formal and informal Translations
    Please submit the formal expression of the item. Avoid slang and impolite expressions.
