My name is Patrick and I am a bit of a hermit (shut away) as I suffer from social anxiety, I am looking to break down my shell and really get out there into the world as I have felt held back for so long. A way in which I am looking to put myself out there is to go abroad and experience new cultures and people. I find it hard to talk to people but I think this will be a great way of overcoming that fear, learning a language for me is as much about becoming more confident as a person as it is about... well learning the language. I am a very creative person and love photography, drawing and all forms of art, if I'm not being creative or productive I feel stressed and useless. I'd like to think that I am a fast learner, but obviously, some things will be easier for me to pick up than other things. My main focus at the moment is the vocab and the pronunciation, I just want to be understandable and hold a decent conversation with native speakers, I feel like I can polish up on the masculine and feminine variations later on.
