I am a 22 year old mother of two beautiful little girls. I have always had a passion for language and took 7 semesters or Spanish, 5 semesters of Russian and 1 semester of Chinese in high school. I absolutely loved going from Spanish class, to Russian and then to English one day and having Chinese the next (we were on a blocked schedule). I have forgotten much in the 4 years since I finished high school but I am trying hard to pick it back up. I am also beginning to learn the language of the Lakota. It is the language I have wanted to learn longer than any other but, due to its endangered status, was unsure if I would ever be able to. Because of this I am ecstatic to have found a way to learn and even more dedicated to learning it than any other language (which is saying a LOT). It has renewed my hope that I will be able to learn many of the more than 20 languages I hope to be able to communicate in.
