I was born and raised in Thailand. I can speak Thai fluently although I my writing skills in the Thai language is improvable. But I can speak and write German fluently because I went to a German school in Thailand since Kindergarten. I am not the best with grammar or the understanding of literature of the 18th century such as Goethe and Schiller but anything else is good to go. I learned English a bit different than most people. I learned it via the television. Even as a kid I preferred English soundtrack movies over *badly synced* blockbusters in Thai. I learned French since grade 6 and am now doing it for over six years. It may sound like I must be talking like the frenchmen himself but with laziness, no motivation and the typical school stress I can merely talk a few sentences...that's really my reason that I even joined thepolyglotclub.com to improve my talking which I'm sure will also improve the proper use of every-day grammar and vocabulary use.
