Born in Shanghai, moved to Hong Kong and raised by my Indonesian Hakka grandmother, I have led an independent life that transcends many boundaries. As thus, I have acquired to date mixed proficiencies of more than 10 languages and dialects that bridge me with different sociocultural worlds. As an anthropology master graduate and frequent traveler within Asia Pacific, I have conducted researches on a great variety of topics ranging from medicinal herbal tea as a cultural heritage and economic resource, multinational sailors on container ships of international shipping, to nostalgia tourism, development and nationalism in Thailand. Polyglot communication in various forms has always been my outlet of unique perspectives, polymathic passions and cosmopolitan aspirations to embrace the inherent diversity of this world.
