Greetings, reader, and welcome to my profile, I am a Catalan. I am a taciturn, trustworthy fellow, brought up in the post-industrial city of Terrassa, born into a family of Andalusian origins. Currently I am studying Classics at the University of Barcelona, which are the most useless studies I have ever seen. I still do not know why I get on with it. After holidays I am moving to Germany (Freiburg, to be more accurate) as an Erasmus student. People from Baden, feel free to contact me! I love Europe. Travelling throughout it, talking to its peoples, learning their languages, studying about their history and culture... Languages are one of my weaknesses. I study languages every day. Sometimes I believe I am insane. I read books in foreign languages, I watch foreign films, I write letters in so many tongues as possible and I have each of my electronic devices and websites in a different language. I must read all the instructions books and all the ingredients whenever they contain more than six languages. At the moment, the best I have seen is Kinder Surprise: pretty small and still thirty seven languages and dialects in it! Nevertheless, my own language cannot be found there, Catalan. What a shame… It is true what they say, nothing can be perfect. Politics are also one of my passions. I mix them very often with history (lots of people tell me “oh, that was a hundred years ago, let it go!”), but usually we can always track why things are as they are in their own past. Sometimes, a really remote past. I get along with almost anyone. I find it difficult though to converse with empty-minded people who have no opinion whatsoever on nothing and everything seems fine to them as it is. Nevertheless, the only kind of people I really cannot stand at all are Europeans who behave like if they were Americans or who pretend to be Americans.
