Hello there, I am a doctoral student in Econ currently located in the US. Native Russian speaker, C2 in French and fluent-but-with-room-for-improvement English. I like learning foreign languages because this is a productive way of procrastination. Challenged myself with learning Spanish and passing DELE in under 2,5 months but the exam was cancelled due to COVID 4 days before the date :( so probably I am going to target C1 or C2 right away. Freaked out because of the cancelled Spanish exam and started to learn Chinese just for fun/to try something non-European and hope that it will be useful in my career (so far only English was lol). Oh, I also speak some German which I learned in the university — like A2–B1 but was too lazy to learn the inclinations of adjectives and nouns :) I cannot stop talking about language learning experience, French musicals, Disney cartoons, non-sport olympiads (write me to find out what it is:), horse riding and dooooogs! enjoy linguistics, biology, swimming and doing nothing (yes, the latter IS compatible with all the rest:) I don’t like violence, talking about politics and this sort of stuff, but when I get serious we can discuss this as well. Ok, it’s 4am now so I have to wrap this up. Some day I will translate this text into the other languages I speak. Good night!
