Has anyone had any experiences with learning more than one language at once?

I am currently learning German and Dutch and find this easy. I tend to try and relax while reading or speaking, and think in the language being used. I don't agree with MattyB - be aware of 'false friends' - I.e. words which sound the same or look the same but have different meanings ("handy" in English is something useful - in German it means mobile phone/cellphone)

The secret to learning multiple languages at once is doing one's best to avoid learning two similar languages that have easily confused vocabulary. Such as: I would not learn French while I learn Spanish or Japanese while I learn Chinese. Just a thought.
